When it comes to his Legacy... he did not take actions he could have and he had pleanty of time and resorces to do so. And he was clearly thinking of his own mortality... so some of this is on him.

The mess he left is one reason why the family has to do some of the things they are doing. They could end up losing all of it.

Unfortunately, his Estate is being run by people who are less knowledgeable and passionate about his music than his fans. So, that will certainly have it's lasting effects for the future. It's sad that when I hear about a future release, I am not expecting much. It's hard to expect much from bankers.

Cant trust overbearing obsessive fans. There needs to be some decorum of people who are measured in their emotions/decisions. People who are not so close to the issue that can lead to being irrational.

I agree with that. My main concern is their being people on his team who have a vast and wealth of knowledge about his catalogue. It's sad and laughable when people in threads are pointing out inaccuracies with releases.

Ultimately all that shit is ego. If it was about the care or people knowing about a sublime piece of music that "deserves" to be heard, then they'd put it out there. Yall will live without hearing the ninth configuration (blatty) of Doves. And basically at this point, anything we get is gravy. No matter what anyone, elite collector or watcher listener, says. The end.

sadly the answer is no

Let's remember with most of his last 10? 15? releases before... people here were no happy... I was not all that blown away and I even make some comments about it...

so of the bat we can assume some people are not going to be happy with any given release.


I do not even know what some people want? Some say "this is a money grab!" Yeah so what? So what Prince charged money for most of what he did... Was that a money grab?

And the estate has bills to pay... if they default the can lose it.

Like with all the new songs released so far: people said "But I have head these..." Yeah I had heard some of them too! But that is on me. Like a meme I saw "We want songs from the vault! But not these!" Make up your mind and now we pay the price of collecting bootlegs.
