What THEY want:

1. Make sure the tracks are doctored at all costs, and master them so loud, Plectrum Electrum sounds like a quiet disc

2. Get some remixes with younger artists Lil Wayne Auto tune remix anyone?

3. Make sure there is as little music as possible on each disc. Just in case the older people still buy cds, put 40 or less minutes on every disc. We can even have a 100 disc set with one song on each one!

4. There is enough music to last for years, just release one album every year or two. Or maybe we have released enough. Prince has TONS of young fans under 30 who will buy for generations! Take your time!

What I want:

1. Leave tracks as is. Clean them as much as possilbe without destroying the integrity of the track.

If there is a multi-track available, don't mix them like it is a license to make your own mix, mix them as close to as possible as Prince would have

2. Get out a box set with as many outtakes as possible. Prince fans are not 19 years old, and those willing to shell out any kind of real money will be glad to buy a 10 disc box set of the Vault Material. Perhaps a SUPER DUPER HYPER DELUXE one with 30 discs for insane fans like me, maybe a limited edition of 3000...5000 for the 10 disc, and then a regular retail best of with 3 discs...and make each disc over 70 minutes...no need to waste time, those with money willing to buy are not getting younger. If Bob Dylan can have over 100 total live and outtake discs in the last 10 years, so can Prince. And Dylan was not really a big seller...

3. Eventually release EVERYTHING as FLAC and MP3, sure the best of the best can be on CD, and

some vinyl...It would be great to have a vinyl box set of all the 12 inch mixes, where they could fit multiple songs on a 12 record set..instead of releasing every single one as stand alone. You could save time and vinyl by doing this...nice for vinyl collectors.

Please back up your bullshit or sit down.

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Sounds a bit like ordering Crystal Ball online - what could possibly go wrong?

Crystal Ball (the compilation album) would have been a very different beast these days. As far as having a cottage industry that caters to doing just that. Just skip the hockey puck packaging and it will be much less of a debacle now. (unless they really try to mess it up, which cannot be ruled out)

.

Something like an NPG Music Club as well, it is much easier to set up in 2019 than it was.
