There's a lot of bad song on this record. First time I've revisited it in maybe 10 years and Lavaux BARELY makes the cut and only because it's not AWFUL.

You left off the best song on the album, Future Soul Song.

It's just very vanilla. Compare it to Damn U, Dark, Goodbye, Friend Lover Sister Mother/Wife or even Future Soul Song from the same album, and it just doesn't hold a candle. The chorus is inane, unimaginative and repetitive. I'm not the kind of fan who rags on his later work often - I appreciate music from all eras of his career - but I distinctly remember hearing Walk In Sand for the first time and being shocked that he let something so mediocre get an album release. That that is why I like this song and others like it, vs Damn U, Dark, Goobye etc

I mean sometimes we need to breath and just take in the beauty of life and the world, without focusing on pain, tragic, loss

and the way his voice swoops and soars...

but its still a flirty piece of ass art
