Minneapolis visit - site question

I'm visiting Paisley Park next month, and I'm also visiting the usual places (Purple Rain house, First Avenue, etc.)

I had a question about the metal staircase that's featured on the Purple Rain album cover. Is that actually behind First Avenue, or was a stand-in location used?

If anyone has visited them, any help is appreciated!
