I was at a family function this weekend and a relative told me out of the blue that he operated a limo service in Orlando and in the 2003 time frame he took Prince to a private event for a Home Depot conference where he performed. He said that Prince stayed at the Hard Rock in Orlando but then moved to some hotel across the street because people knew he was there. He said that Prince was very nice and got paid $250,000 to play a 3-4 songs at the event and it was a secret that Prince was the surprise performer. He also said that Sting performed at the same event. He said that he took Prince directly from the show to his private plane.

This sounds very strange to me because I have never heard it mentioned, but I thought that I would post it here to see if anyone can verify.

He played lots of private events.
They were good, easy money.

Get more details from your relative. PrinceVault.com doesn't seem to have this one.

Penn of Penn & Teller tells a story where they were working a private event with Prince. Penn was standing alone backstage watching Prince perform and mid song Prince came over and yelled at him to turn up the bass. Penn laughed and shrugged his shoulders.

Woah. Lucky relative of yours

My gf once lived in NYC and told me once that one of her friends was in some private member's club (the name escapes me) and Prince walked in one day and just started playing the piano in the club which lasted for about an hour and everyone just froze when this happened. This must have been around 2009/10.
