What are you most looking forward to?

We've got "new" music, documentaries, narrative films and his book amongst other things coming up on the horizon.

Out of all of them what are you most excied about?

I'd say the book, and then maybe the Netflix documentary, are what I'm looking forward to most.

Y'all?

The Originals album by far. I'm not interested in the book or the documentary so by default, it has to be the music. And Originals is the only album announced. Although I do hope that the rumours of a 1999 Deluxe edition are true. But only if it comes with previously unreleased music. I love the 1999 album, it's one of my favourite albums by any artist ever, but I'm not interested if it's only the original album remastered with no bonus tracks. I want stuff I've never heard before.

Remasters and bonus tracks for me. Specifically Dirty Mind,1999, and Sign O The Times Era stuff.

Everything you said. I'm all about the music. The documentary sounds interesting. The book I have a wait and see attitude.

You can put me in the Originals camp as well. I want to hear Prince music that I've either never heard before or that is in better quality than the boots. I honestly think the book is going to be a big let down, especially the section penned by Prince. I really doubt I'll ever buy it. The Netflix doc may be great, but it's the kind of thing I'll probably watch once.

When I was 17, I would have been incredibly excited about anything and everything connected to Prince. You would have found me lining up on day one cash in hand. But I'm 49 now. Today, I'm only interested in the music. I know this has been said countless times here (and I realise these things take time), but I can't help but wish they'd hurry up with a proper release schedule already.

Shameless plug lol (can’t wait for the movie as well).

I want more music from the vault.

1999: The Deluxe Remaster.

My favorite Prince album and era.

If it includes the extra tunes I think it might
I might go ballistic.

The Sign O the Times bluray, the Originals album of course, and the book....I´m equally interested in all of them.

And I´d love to see many, many concert recordings in the future but not the same old concerts from the Welcome 2 phase but rather some old stuff like the First Ave birthday show or some aftershows or Ultimate Live Experience recordings.

As others have said, of the actually confirmed releases, Originals would be top, for sure. The white vinyl's especially tempting me, lol.

There are other albums that would be on my vinyl wishlist if it was announced that they were being released (or re-released) in that format, but I'm fine with waiting for those.

Originals album. 1999 Deluxe, if it's true. And...the Joker movie with Joaquin Phoenix! After the Last Jedi debacle, I couldn't care less about Star Wars.

Oh, and the Magic Leap goggles going down to a reasonable price like say $500.

without a doubt remasters of Parade & SOTT with all the associated outtakes like "In All My Dreams". That for me is the zenith. The Holy Grail

I'm sorta looking forward to "Originals" BUT I have to hear the quality of those "demos" first.

1999 Deluxe would be fabulous but I'm skeptical.

I am looking forward to, in this order : The Beautiful Ones, the Nexflix documentary and the original release! The reason why I am looking forward to the book the most is because I was anticipating that release while he was still on this earth! Needless to say, the book was not completed the way Prince intended it to be due to his untimely departure from this planet, nonetheless we will see what he started in his own words on at least 50 pages! That in itself alone is worth the price of the book - for me anyways! The Nextflix documentary I am anticipating solely on the premise that Ava DuVernay have full access to Prince's vault (music, videos, lyrics) and have permission from the his estate! With the recent documentaries that have come out-in this crazy era, they're either one sided or is trying to steer the narrative of what the artist actually stood for, while on earth, in order to make them fit into whatever this current agenda is - as if the artist agreed with it! I am hoping that Ava will allow Prince to speak, in his own words, in this documentary and not allow an array of sociologists, psychologists, activists and artists with an agenda to promote outside of the subject matter- speak on his behalf! Lastly, I am looking forward to the Original release although I heard 7 of the 15 tracks on bootlegs sung by Prince. Hopefully, the sound quality on the release is far beyond excellent!

The Netflix documentary series has the most potential, looking foward to that. The Beautiful Ones as being the last written testament of Prince, albeit incomplete.

Originals seems cool but I can't help but feel let down that there's no The Screams of Passion. Guess the bootleg will have to suffice.

I can't count 1999 Deluxe since it hasn't actually been announced. But any Deluxe edition of the 80s albums is exciting.

Nothing really!

Everything seems a mess so these days I take it as it comes.

I was enjoying the WB re-issue series until that stopped. Even though I have everything commercially released in multiple formats already.

For fun I was hoping WB would re-issue some really old 12inch singles such as Gotta Stop as it would have been nice to have that as a nice fresh pressing.

Some older releases also had great picture sleeves such as Bambi and Let's Work.

Just one thought... it would be AWSOME to have a re-issue of 'Strange Tales From The Rain'.

If most people don't know of this release, the information can be found here:
https://www.discogs.com/P...se/3139238

This would make a nice Record Store Day release.

Fuck all these fake-ass "new" releases.

The world sucks.

I’ve been informed that my opinion is worth less than those expressed by others here.
