All Day, All Night is one of Prince's best tracks EVER....discuss.... Catchy, urgent, always sonically interesting, propulsive...
The fact that the guy could write and record a song this good in the midst of making and recording PURPLE RAIN and NEVER RELEASE IT HIMSELF is INSANE...

I like Jill's music, but her version isn't even close. She comes across like she's reading a script, whereas he comes across like he's really that insane. No Candy 4 Me | |

. I agree. It starts off really, really stong and I'm thinking, "Wow, this is an amazing song!" . But then it never really goes anywhere. Get's a bit repetative. It's one I wish he would have pulled out of the vault and re-worked. It could have added some interesting and different bits as the song went along. |

For me, not one of his better songs but still better than most songs by others. It is funky but too repetitive and not much of a melody. |

Love this track. It was introduced to me around the time I first started to discover bootlegs and it was one of many tracks I couldn't believe this guywas just tossing off and sitting on. I never really found a high quality sounding version of it, unfortunately. [Edited 4/26/19 14:57pm] | |
