New Albums from the Vault or Deluxe versions of old albums Prince once said on the VIEW he doesnt mind how the Music is released after hes gone. I for one preffered that Pasiley Park continued busniss as if he retired but not dead like releasing completed Albums from the Vault instead of these nicknacks theyve been tossing the public as if its good enough. We all want a big hit again because
we want to relive the Hysteria & Pandemonium we experienced when Purple Rain was Hot. Actually, he doesn't care if it happens again or not.

New and live stuff. I never understand the excitement for reissues and the vinyl stuff.

Totally agree! The more live stuff, the better.

I would personally prefer to have DELUXE versions of all the albums from FOR YOU through LOVESEXY.
With -
* The Re-mastered original tracklist * Re-mastered b-sides of the Era * All Unreleased tracks from the album's sessions, and finally * A complete soundboard recording of a concert from the Era

New Albums
I'd like to have nice albums to listen from beginning to end, not heavy ones gathered without a common thread

How much would you pay for complete soundboard concerts?
Like, for example, a random Controversy Tour show like in Birmingham, Alabama?
I'd pay $10 a show...and hell, I'd buy a lot of them!!!
I would LOVE to see The Estate just release complete shows every month.
Similar to what Bruce Springstein and Tori Amos have done...

New albums/compilations from the Vault. Remixes of past albums would be cool as long as they sound nothing like PR:Deluxe, but those can wait until casual fans get a taste of songs they haven't already heard

I would like to see stand alone releases of vault material and the already released stuff reissued on vinyl and CD as originally released.

I dont care what it is, as long as there is music on it that we havent heard before or dont already have in perfect quality. "You always get the dream that you deserve, from what you value the most" -Prince 2013

New stuff - f-ck deluxe or re-releases. Then Vault stuff, but really, as a fan I would like his most recent stuff first. That said, these muppets for whatever reason are incapable of anything. Might as well be a jellyfish in charge of stuff. Comin str8 outta Preston...

I don't enjoy live albums. I'd rather be at the concert than listening to a recording of it. . I'd love brand-new albums filled with unheard studio-recorded songs. But then again, actual first-generation stuff that's been bootlegged for years would make me happy too.

I really do think the Estate are missing a trick with an audio and video streaming service (or rather, I hope they are secretly working on one!) The vault material is being catalogued and digitised in “the mountain” and if every live show has been recorded we are never going to see a gazillion DVD releases - it is the same with the audio and physical CD releases The costs, distribution, and everyone taking their slice will prevent the £££ people signing off A well setup streaming service (subscription and/or pay as you go) has to be the way forward for the (hopefully) large volume of material in the vault There are signs that conversations had started (JayZ & Tidal) but I do think a Prince exclusive platform would be feasible - if they act quickly as there is a diminishing fan base - but I am sure his popularity will rise with a new generation (excuse the pun!) if they can get live concert footage out there asap I would be surprised if this isn’t being considered but the estate don’t have a great track record so far...

Zero...ZERO interest in remastered releases of the stuff I've heard a million times even though I DID like the PR deluxe bonus CD and bought it just for that.

I'd prefer unreleased albums of vault recordings, but according to certain sources that's unlikely for a few years due to contractual reasons. Therefore, deluxe reissues with related unreleased tracks may be the best chance we have of hearing something genuinely unfamiliar. The Tidal album of vault material from '96 onwards was announced, but no new word on that yet...

All in all again you have to realize what the interest is, primarily reissues whether they are repackaged and remasterd and added in with songs, are pretty much going to the extreme loyal fans, casual Prince fans are not caring about the 1999 remaster or Rave or 3121 on Vinyl that is how the business works especially now. Music really does not sell now more than ever and it really is for the loyal extremes and they are dwindling. RSD showed how much BS is out there, now I buy my stuff because I want it, but there are ALOT of RSD buyers that get it and immediately that shit is on ebay regardless of the artist, so alot of this "resurgence" in music buying around RSD is a lot of crap. . What I generally liked about Purple Rain Deluxe was that it gave us both: remastered old material AND unreleased material from the vault. We didn't have to choose. Granted, I didn't agree with some of the specific choices made for that album (e.g. I prefer the other version of Possessed, and I prefer the rehearsal version of Electric Intercourse), but I appreciated the concept. . I want more of this. For instance, they could do a Sign O' the Times Delux Boxset. It would have the original 2 discs remastered, an outtake disk (that could include stuff from Crystal Ball and/or Camille), a disc of b-sides and alaternate versions (like the extended U Got the Look and La, La, La, Hee, He, He), and a Blu-Ray of Sign O' the Times. It would be pricey, but worth it. .

Without a doubt I would prefer albums of new material, without being attached to a duluxe version of a classic album. That way the music has room to properly appreaciated for its own merit, and has the chance to be admired and to stand on its own as an artistic product. Otherwise, it's just bonus material.
