Rex Club 1993, Remastered

NO TROLL THREADS! NO SOLICITING FOR BOOTLEGS! Discussion is fine, so long as the bootleg is not being promoted e.g. pre-release; requests/offers to share or copy, and links to download or bootleg sites are not. Posting Prince and associated artist videos from sites such as YouTube is also not allowed. Posts of this nature will be deleted and repeat offenders will be first warned, and then banned. Troll threads, fake tracklists, and attention seeking rumor threads will be also be swiftly dealt with. These rules are strictly enforced!

I haven't seen this mentioned and I'm not soliciting boots etc so...

I had this years ago but never really listened to it as the quality wasn't great, but this new remaster is superb. What an unbelievable aftershow and what a band this was.

.

The horns sound amazing. Great version of Blue Light

This sounds fantastic. Have always appreciated the soundboards from this era, so will be good to add this one, particularly with the rarer songs performed.

Is this the one where the whole crowd sings the words to Blue Light? I remember listening to it at a record store back in high school and being surprised the crowd knew the words to the song.

Sorry but I didn't find a major improvement knowing that the original is already good 2 me.

The improvement is barely noticable, an overhyped release but it did make me go back & listen to it again.

Since I don't know how to get bootlegs, anymore, I wish the Estate would put out stuff like this legit. razz

I do hope the Estate one day puts Goldnigga out on Vinyl or CD again. I forgot how Black MF in the House sounds.

Mine was a CD from a record fair and was barely audible in parts. I'm no audiophile but this new one sounds very good to me

It appears to only be an improvement on the old audience.

I love this particular show. Curious to read more feedback about the improvement (Farfunknugin does not appear to have been convinced).

I have the same cd (from way back when) but it has a few additional live tracks like Deuce And A Quarter, Six and a jam.

What a great era.

Is this the show where some audience member, completely out of the blue, yelled out: “Fuck Michael Jackson”? biggrin
