OperatingTheta n	As far as I'm aware it's 'Rock 'n' Roll is Alive (And it Lives in Minneapolis)', which is pretty underwhelming. I thought it may at least have been an unreleased remix from the 'Rave' album, but apparently not.

Mixed feelings on this. The song is very relevant in the context of the Timberwolves ie banging groove, funky & mentions MPLS + the video I am sure has him wearing the colours? All in all it caters for that audience , many of whom will have never been aware of the track. On that score it's a great decision...don't foget it is free!!

As always though it's an epic fail for the hardcore & our usula arguments apply.

The team announced that attendees at the Friday, April 5th game vs. Miami will receive an exclusive, collector’s edition rare seven-inch vinyl track of Rock and Roll is Alive! (and it lives in Minneapolis). The song, never available digitally before, it now available where digital music is streamed.

darkroman	I am sure there was a thread about this a month ago - or at least I read it elsewhere. It pains me that time and time again the vast majority of posthumous activity is USA centric - which is very odd considering it was the USA market that turned their back on Prince decades ago. Hopefully the Estate will realise there is a world that exists outside of the USA.

Rock and Roll is Alive! would be an AWESOME giveaway! It's a great, funky song; almost no one in the stadium will be familiar with it; it name checks the home team's city in a great way; and ummm....what's gonna be the B side?

I can just hear the entire crowd with a call-and-response during a timeout:

EAST SIDE - Rock and Roll is Alive!

WEST SIDE - And it lives in Minneapolis!

Run that through the stadium for 30 seconds or so. AWESOME.

radicalrojo	Makes sense for them to wait until April 5, when they give away the 7", to put the song up on Spotify. Curious to see what artwork they use for it. Releases have oscillated between artwork that looks nice, modern, and contemporary (i.e. Piano & a Microphone, that Valentine's Day playlist) and others that... have sucked like 4ever. I can't decide if the Ultimate Rave artwork works or not.

Dr. Funkenberry posted the artwork on his Facebook page as few days ago and I'm not impressed. Nothing compares 2 u 7" had far better artwork
