Apologies if this has been covered. The New York Metropolitan Museum of Art will be have musicians' instruments displayed as part of their Play It Loud exhibition (April 2019 - October 2019). Prince is among the musicans listed.

CBS Sunday Morning did a feature on this yesterday (March 31, 2019). The Prince guitar that's on exhibition is the Gold Symbol guitar:

Would be cool if it was the original first symbol guitar with the 24 frets and the vagina truss rod guard on the headstock that he played in 1993/1994. I haven;'t seen that one since the first celebration when it hung in one of the studios.
But it will probably be the 21 fret version he used to play since 1995 that is shown on the book.

The book (above) shows a 24 fret version.
(And frankly, I'm not sure what you mean on the "vagina" truss rod guard – perhaps your imagination is running wild by seeing a vagina into the oval Auerswald logo? )

No man, I saw that thing up close in 1994 at the Bataclan show, that truss rod cover had a vagina (lips, clit and all) and later versions of the guitar had the Auerswald cover and some had a cover without anything on it (the Schecter remakes).

If I remember correctly the pictire in the beautiful experience CD has him playing that version of he guitar, not sure though. When I saw the guitar hanging at the first celebration it had the vulva truss rod cover on it. At the soundstage another gold 21/22 fret version was on stage (I thought that's the one on the cover of the book becuase I always identified the differences of those guitars by the truss rod cover but it seems the 21/22 fret version of the gold symbol has the heart fret marker a couple of frets higher on the neck) and that had the Auerswald logo and was standing next to the purple 21/22 fret Schecter symbol guitar without any logo on the cover.
