Just wanna clear something up ...it's about P's appearence on "American Bandstand"
I've been reading the threads on this subject and it seems that some people think that Prince was mad at Dick Clark...he wasn't. The whole weird/passive way Prince answered the questions had nothing to do with anything Dick said. 1.Prince had planned to be that way. He even told his bandmates not to say a word. 2. If you notice, when Dick says "this isn't the type of music that comes from minneapolis, is it?", Prince says 'no', you can hear hm lauging when he says that. He was not offended. 3.Dick was right, that wasn't the type of music that came from minneapolis. That was 1980. The whole "minneapolis sound" didn't become popular for another 2, 3 years. You can't blame Dick for saying that, he was right. I'm sure he didn't mean that in a bad way.
