I have been a Prince fan from the start I saw him in 1980 and upclose and personal several times.

I even had a brief talk with him about my hair and his.

What I want to know is this outfit original.

I found it in Chicago .

It is the correct size .

It looks better and was professionally done .

Everything on it is from the era.

I know Marie France , Louis Wells and Vaughn Terry where the costume designers for Prince's Purple Rain clothing.

This to me looks like the motorcyle black jacket Prince wore in Purple Rain.

I also know one went up for sale recently and was sold at auction.

That to be honest this one looks correct.

I an just going to keep it no matter what because this is one of the originals or it is on eof the greatest copies I have ever seen.

Since 1984 I always wanted this jacket and I looked for the fabric and could never find it

AND I have been looking that is 35 years !

Then out of the corner of my eye , I see that unmistakable fabric.

I am 6 2 , I wish I could wear this LOL

Cool jacket! I vaguely recall a line of Prince inspired jackets being sold at the store Merry Go Round in the 80s. It could be one of those.

Does it say "Purple Wear" on the tag?

No way that belonged to or was "worn" by Prince. He's like a size 2. I doubt his jackets would even fit on a standard size hanger.

It's obviously hard to tell its pictures, but if it not authentic, then its a remarkaby accurate recreation of this jacket.
