You assume the memoir is a bust or fucked up, when in fact none of you know anything about it. It's all conjecture, which is basically a lie until proven otherwise. Y'all just need to chill.

If they did it right and made into a deluxe coffee table; his 50 pages and added pictures and added some sort of biography by someone respected - with the right promotion they could release this any time and have a best seller.

The publisher talked up a prospective release date and then withdrew. In they very least, we can assume there's a lack of confidence over there.

I thought it was suppoe to be later this year

Dr. Funkenberry mentioned it in a post on his IG a few days ago. He said that he and Prince had been talking about writing a book together.

That's something entirely different than Prince's memoir, which he was writing with author Dan Piepenbring,

Yes but in the post he mentioned Prince's plans to release the memoir. I thought the idea he said that Prince had to write a music book where the reader would have to learn a piece of music before proceeding to the next chapter was cool.

Horrible idea. Jeremiah is a good guy and worked hard for P (and was compensated). But he's not a writer. He's good at podcasts but confusing as a writer (see his reply in the 2021 thread and what you are saying here). He mixed up TWO SEPARATE SUBJECTS. When P's book comes out, we'll see. I thought he had said that was Prince's idea and that he had certain songs in mind beginning with some released in 2004. This was the first I had heard of them discussing writing a book together.

He was not paid..
