Happy for the estate and the labels I guess.
Never used Spotify (or any music streaming service), doubt I ever will. Don't hate your neighbors. Hate the media that tells you to hate your neighbors. |

. Thank God "his music was inconsistent!" Music shoud be inconsistent, forever changing.
. Or do they mean it was "inconsistent in quality"? Of course it was, just as every artist's work is inconsistent, it's only natural.

I would imagine the rising is due to the anniversary of his passing. |

anything post 1995 should require a signed affidavit prior to listening.

That is good news. Younger people are access to these streaming sites glad they are stepping up to keep Prince's legacy alive. It is very important. |

That's a generic critique. You can say the same thing about any musician, especially someone who created as music as Prince. |

Prince's legacy is going to be around a long time, and it's mostly going to be not because of Spotify. Y'all put weight on feathers, and ignore boulders.

Did I said solely because of Spotify? Uh no. I said because young people have access to stream sites and they are key to keep his legacy alive as Prince key fanbase are 50s and up and also, Prince's music wasn't easy as accessible when he was alive and plus he is not an easy artist to promote so it is very important for his music to go on platforms where millinentals (my generation) and Gen Z would be on. An average young person doesn't listen to radio don't believe me ask a typical radio programmer that majority of listeners of radio are baby boomers and Gen X and many Prince's songs are now on oldies stations. Young people are on streaming and the likes of Youtube and social media would be good for Prince's estate to promote along with educational facilities too like primary and secondary schools and colleges.
Just like I stated on here months ago I was riding a car with a kid and her mother and he knew who Michael Jackson was and when we talked about Prince he had no idea who he was but the mother did because she is a Gen X. There are quite of few kids that I associate who doesn't know Prince until I told them more about him. It is very important for Gen Z and younger to know who he is because face it Prince's key fans are dying off or getting very old.

I kinda agree. But thanks to Youtube, I would point young people to all his live performances from the 2000’s to his very end. The man was on roll. The start of the new millennium really was an amazing renaissance for him. It more than made up for the 90’s. As long as kids know the 90’s was just an anomaly. |
