If the Estate sold Prince/bandmembers outfits, would you buy them? The least favorite aesthetics thread made me wonder... If, instead of merely selling jumpers and t-shirts, the estate began to sell copies of real Prince/band outfits (obviously cheaper versions than the real thing, because what they wore must have cost a fortune, but as similar in aspect as cheaper fabrics would allow), would anyone buy them? . So many times have I seen a pic of Prince or his bandmembers and thought "MF I would so like to have those damn clothes!". So yeah, I'd definitely be buying them! How about you?

. Please stop giving the estate even worse ideas than the ones they are already coming up with!. Friends don't let friends clap on 1 and 3.

Yep I'm not F..King interested in clothes. I would be more than willing to buy F..King music and concert shows from the vault!

Greatest and most sought after vault of music/video in the history of the world or novelty items and reissues? Seriously, whoever is making these decisions does not want to make money. And dont tell me about the legal issues. Someone chose to release Piano & Mic 83 over tons of better material. The heirs, CoAmerica and the record companies have all botched this big time. But, Sharon has a new EP though.

. I couldn't care less about the T-shirts, purple vinyl rereleases etc. and sorry, but it makes my blood boil to see these things before they'd start a professional release program for all the unheard masters from the vault. We are talking about one of the most prolific artists in music history, with a legendary vault of unreleased material – and as many of us here said before: we are not getting any younger. Friends don't let friends clap on 1 and 3.

Sorry about being disrespectful to your thread, I'm just really frustrated that the vault is going to waste. To answer your question, very few people would look good in Prince inspired clothes. Perhaps a petite woman, but no one wants to see middle aged men wearing the Kiss outfit. Anthony Anderson is evidence of that.

Only if my 1984 body comes with it. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

a) he tried it in the early 90s with Joe Bloggs range of clothing - it bombed
b) none of the clothes (including his own) was THAT expensive. In fact, I thought a lot of it looked quite cheap despite the wild designs

I feel you guys, obviously I'd choose music over gadgets and clothes any time, it's just that we don't need to create a false dilemma (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/False_dilemma). The Estate is not holding on the music music because they're releasing gadgets, and releasing more gadgets would not prevent them from releasing more music. Yeah well Bonnie, Rosie and Michael B. had their funky clothes, too. (Not that I know what your body is like now, but I guess like most of us after a certain age, your concern here is weight?) Obviously I'm not talking about going out in the street in the bikini + trenchcoat outfit, the renaissance PR suits, the Raspberry Beret cloud suit or the Rave stretcher. I mean why not, but that would indeed need you to fancy extremes and look good in it. But many things Prince and the band wore after 1986 are wearable by regular folks. I mean I realize maybe not in every social circle, but assuming you're in a big city and you hang out with more or less creative people in more or less hip places. I assumed they'd be expensive because of Prince being Prince, but I have no idea. I know some brands that look really great but are accessible so fancy doesn't need to be expensive. A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/
