Langebleu's probably gonna lock this because it's too cryptic for people to be able to provide an answer to your question, so there's no point in it at all. . There's no song titled Drum Machine on Princevault, and Drum Machine is too generic a term for a Google search to help us find it, so unless you let us know what in the world you're talking about, where you heard it and so on, I don't think anyone can help you there. There’s a Sheila E b-side called ‘Linn Drum Beat’ (or something like that?), always thought it was a strange thing to release. I’ve not check princevault but would be interesting to know who programmed it?

https://soundcloud.com/alyjameslab/sets/vlinn-vst-lm-1-drums-emu I think it's a demo for his Linn Drum VST.

Terrible (but loving) Jamie Starr impersonation. It's not P, but nonetheless has its moments as a quite competent 'Shortberry Strawcake'/'Too Sexy'/'Hon E Man'-type well-versed imitation funk workout, with some 'Feline' rehearsal nuances, 'Love & Sex '84', 'Traffic Jam', 'Tricky', Andre, Jesse, and even 'Merci for the Speed of a Mad Clown in Summer', Mark Ronson 'Controversy' chicken scratching, and a few '88/89-era influences thrown in. . Probably more exiciting though than some legitimate forthcoming Vault releases. . Worth a listen. . [Edited 3/6/19 14:27pm]

Found that track a couple years ago on iTunes. If you're wondering who the artist is -- credits include Dr. Fink. I kind of like it. Fink deserves to take a couple victory laps.
Speaking of which, check out this track that sounds like it samples Tricky by The Time.

It's pretty cool but clearly is an homage that has nothing to do with Prince. This AndreCrabtree should be beaten up with a lathi for posting fakes online. On the other hand I would like to know who recorded this, because it's a real nice jam. A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/

. Yeah, this is Aly James. He creates excellent software instruments and effects that mimic the Prince sound. But nothing to do with Prince. . Friends don't let friends clap on 1 and 3.
