Well, it did creep me out when our tour guide had us look up and told us his ashes were there in 2017. I just didn't like it at all, bad feel to it.

I'm glad they removed them from public gawking. I hope they find a lovely, peaceful place for them where his loved ones could actually visit and pay their respects in private. It seemed odd and "touristy" to have them on public display.
It's a hurtful place, the world, in and of itself. We don't need to add to it. We all need one another. ~ PRN

I can't go to Paisley Park, not yet. I may never go back. I was there at the very first Celebration (2000), right after he took back his given name (Prince). I can still picture him walking through the crowd, hear him clearing his throat at a body guard that was talking to me and a friend, from the other side of the huge concert room and us looking over at him and he's tapping his foot, very mpatiently I might add, see him sitting on top of a small room in the L4OA room, watching every one dance. in the DJ booth, putting on songs. I don't know that I can go back to Paisley, knowing that he's not there physically, because I would keep picturing him every where that I saw him during that first Celebration, and I'm afraid I'd break down, that it would be too much. But then I think that his energy is still there, his presence is still there. That was where he lived, loved, worked, and everything he was (is) went into Paisley Park and his music. I remember the little meditation room on the 2nd floor and not wanting to leave that room (I'm not even sure if it is still there). I don't know. Maybe one day I can go again, go to the Celebration, but I think it's still too soon for me, any way. PurpleDorothy, you should go, if you get the chance, since you've already been. His energy, I'm sure, is still in the entire fiber of that building.

I've never been to Paisley Park and I can't go for the very reason that he won't be there...it would be just too much. I feel where you are at also.

When the crematorium gives u ur loved one's ashes, they are just giving you a scoop of whatever ashes are in whichever oven. There's no way to tell who's remains u have so...yeah, meaningless.

It's a choice. Just your loved one's ashes or combined. Obviously doing the ashes alone costs more. I'd imagine Prince's were done alone.

My instructions to my family are to toast me up separately, with half my ashes buried with my husband and the other half scattered off the top of Superstar lift at Killington mountain ski area. Where, with snowmaking, I will become snow. It works for me.

For Prince, why not do both? He can be with his family and his fans. The spirit, the essence, is all in the wind anyway.
And the MUSIC continues...forever...

What happens to Prince's ashes has nothing to do with any of us... we have no claim, no rights, no say, and nor should we...

We were people who bought and liked his music. That's it.

We have nothing to do with the man's personal life, and to think we do at all is just delusional.

Seriously.

This is weird. No way anybody's ashes should be on display. That's up to the family. Nothing to do with anyone else.
