Doesn't that chicken grease guitar sound awfully familiar on DJ Quik's "When You're A Gee"? I probably have got it mixed up with something else. During the song there is a music line in the background of the song that sounds like a typical, funky riff from Prince circa 1986'ish 87'ish. It becomes more clear during the musical part at the end of the song. About 3:20 into the song. And I know for a fact that Sexy M.F. was heavily inspired by AMG's "Bitch Betta Have My Money" from 1992. AMG was basically in the same crew as DJ Quik, 2nd II None, Penthouse Players Clique and Hi-C back then. This thread is also for you guys to listen to two of the best that ever touched the mic on the Westcoast. The one and only player on the mic Playa Hamm and the "Prince of Hip-Hop" DJ Quik, he can do it all. | |

The entire song contains a sample from Zapp's version of "I Heard It Through The Grapevine" (1981)
