As you can see many of his albums have not been recertified by RIAA, including Purple Rain which is now 16 million in the U.S. but still certified 13 million. 1999 which is now 5 million but still certified 4 million. Batman now 3 million in U.S. but still certified at 2 million...

You don't know that people haven't heard them, and simply aren't drawn to them like you think they should be. Every super group's fanbase has that anomaly. People rave about Led Zeppelin, but I couldn't care less about most of their music. It's annoying. I don't really care for Stevie Nicks, too. Her voice grates on my fucking nerves. I know folks here will say, "What is wrong with you?!" but it's just personal tastes. I think Jimi Hendrix is overrated, too.

Most people like the popular songs from an artist. That's fine. The music is still out there. It's always a fanbase's opinion that everyone should have the same level of fandom. It's unrealistic. The fact that Sign 'O' The Times, ATWIAD, and Diamonds and Pearls is on there is surprising enough.

It s hardly 2 millions copies when you're so low in the charts...And it hardly charted in 1990. . Batman sold only 200.000 copies between 1991 and 2016. I t s far from being a catalogue seller. . In 1992, Entertainment Weekly published a figure of 4.4 millions while Billboard published a figure of 4.6 millions...2 reliable sources telling that even nowadays, 5 millions is already a large estimation. Where did he find 1.6 Millions extra copies? . 3) SOTT and Parade sold similarly, both at 4 millions, slightly higher for Parade. . EW published a 3.5 millions figure for SOTT, and a 3.75 millions for Parade in 1992. Certification s and sales in Europe are higher for Parade than for SOTT, so this makes no sense to put 700.000+ more for SOTT ! Their almost 3 decades of SS are low, about 350.000 each. . 4) It should be noted that according to Chartmaster TVBO sold 3/4 of its sales with only 2 countries : USA (3M) and UK (800.000). Only 1.4 millions to split for the rest of the world for almost 2 decades of sales. . Hard to believe
