Great work again, Latin. It is good to know that no matter what happens, these important artifacts will be preserved there in his home state! Loved seeing that reel of early music. May need to make another trip up to Minn. next year.

So are these the versions from the old Sound 80 boot?

And did Prince have these recordings in his vault? Because if he didn't than I think this reel should have gone to Paisley Park and not MHS.

You lot and "this really should have gone to Prince's heirs" BS. It's up to the owner to decide what to do with it. Stop it with these ridiculous comments.

I just think all recordings Prince didn't have should be collected at one place and Paisley Park would be fine so they could eventually be released instead of being scattered all over the place.
If Prince already has these recordings in his vault and this is just a copy then sure fine send it to MHS.
That is what I meant with my comment, no offence intended.

They moved to Iron Mountain last year because PP's vault has been in disrepair for decades.

One doesn't douse fire with fire, but water.

I don't get al fired up by words on a screen, if this is Bart's default way of communicating then so be it, it's not mine.

laytonian

These were donated by Owen Hudney, his first manager.
Doesn't anyone realize that Owen could have have made a lot of money if he'd chosen to. But he did not.
Welcome to "the org", laytonian… come bathe with me.
