That NECKLACE Over the whole of his life we rarely saw Prince wear the same thing twice.. Yes...we saw some items mixed and matched, shoes and jewellery BUT in the last two years THIS Necklace appeared many many times...
It made me wonder WHO gave it to him it seems special since there are HEAPS of photos and outfits with him wearing it.... Here are just a few
He was even wearing it during his final performance of Purple Rain...

Prince was wearing this necklace at the P&M aftershow he played in Montreal a month before he died, with the furry vest and turtleneck combo.

Stevie's words about Prince touch me the most & was VERY heartfelt. It's no surprise he gifted him with the necklace.... I agree! His words seemed very sincere and were very moving. I had not heard that the necklace was from Stevie but he and Prince did appear to be very close so I wouldn't be surprised either. | |

I've thought a few things about that necklace: as a JW (and older man) who rarely showed skin anymore, it was a good focal point. Lots of movement. And on the rare occasion when he had an extra 2.5 ounces on his middle, that fringe falls in exactly the right place to hide it. Just sayin'.  And the MUSIC continues...forever... | |
