. Pointless book. There's a thread about this one. .
. There's a thread about this one. Sticky even. .
. Based on the existing thread: exploitative garbage. .
. Hmmm, will this still be the same mess he released so many years ago, or will it finally have been improved by an editor? I'm guessing: no. © Bart Van Hemelen

I read the first version--while there was some material I hadn't seen from 90's engineers and the like (though I think much of it might have been revisited and expanded in the many interviews with such folks that have been published since Prince's death), it really was badly in need of editing. It was just so cobbled together--and there were times when the same person would be introduced and given a mini-bio 3 or 4 times in as many pages.

Diamonds & Curlz: 29 Years Rolling with Rock Royalty Prince by Kim Berry - January 2019 (USA) Kim Berry didn’t work for Prince for 29 years. It seems like her math is based on the release date of her book but as far as we know she’s not on the payroll of the estate or anything so her working for him would have stopped when he passed away. At one point I was interested in this book but Kim turned me off when she started selling Prince stuff at auction. Paisley Park is in your heart

I don’t get it because her own interviews prove it wrong. And it’s not like 25 years or whatever isn’t impressive. No reason to pad it with extra years. Paisley Park is in your heart

She wasn't working for him when he passed. I thought the rumor was she hadn't worked for him for 6 years?

I'm sure there's a cease and desist heading Kim Berry's way re her book.

The Estate have got a recent history of doing this, after all. That's what they did with the book That One Time With Prince by Andrew Kistner - cease & desist and asked for profits he'd made from the book. Bizarre, as he had a Facebook page with his Prince stories and there was nothing even remotely derogatory about his tales - they were cute and portrayed Prince in a good light.
