That snippet is a complete joy - what song is he performing there? I would have loved for him to explore that direction more, especially in the studio. I've always loved his more Santana-esque live stuff. Who knows, one can dream about what's in the vault.

I dont think this song necessarily qualitfies under the description of "Latin jazz" but I always loved the Latin/Santana feel to "Save The People" by Sheila E. Prince's guitars are a mix of MPLS rhythm and Latin lead and then add Sheila's Latin drumming and it feels...Latin Maybe Latin rock as opposed to Latin jazz but awesome regardless.

There are probably at least ten songs, both studio & live tracks where he'd obviously run out of ideas so he chucked on a latin beat and does a guitar solo..

it's such a lazy crutch & I hated every time he did it..
