PeteSilas said: people are quick to throw labels, Prince was an asshole in his younger years but he seemed to really outgrow it. charisma seems to be a gift apart from benevolence or evil. Being interesting or having charisma or what some might call a “lure” can be because of many reasons. Being charming however is very manipulative.

Going inside isn't a luxury. It's a skill, like any other, that requires time and practice. Everyone can afford at least 5 minutes a day to tune into themselves to start off with. God is my Sugar Daddy.

people will abuse it, especially in this power based society we live in, most people are as manipulative as they can get away with, sometimes that may only be one person who they have wrapped around their fingers. but your point that charisma can be misused i correct.

yes they are, our culture breeds it, most of it' a front but it's still a pain in the ass to deal with even when it's just an affect.

I believe he had those tendencies.
He wasn't heavy in it but it was there. You saw it in how he dealt with people in his camp, especially in the early period. stories of how he dealt with his proteges, band members engineers and techs . sociopaths are very different from psychopaths and I think a lot of people have those tendencies who are not dangerous. Maybe can be emotionally dangerous . And I'm looking at how a lot of fans 'react' since he passed... that is a whole different extension.

No, the level of nastiness toward people, whether it is other fans or female associates. People have always had their favorite 'Prince lady' but it went crazy, and you saw it even from the actually 'associate' women. People acting like they need to lawyer up for Prince.

Oh Prince was a culture for me. I'm very passionate about it all. Just not the divisive stuff and people who present themselves as fans who pigeonhole Prince into place he was not.

That is a very interesting observation, how people are acting crazy after his passing I think Prince had a very cruel side , but very much wanted acceptance/love. I think alot of his ladies had their own issues too. I will say Apollonia used to be my favorite Prince girl but I don't know about her anymore.

I believe Prince was incredibly shy always, deep down. When people look into a shy person's eyes, especially when you are shorter than most people, it can be very intimidating. P was constantly being critiqued and analysed. If you really study his voice and body language in interviews, you can see he is truly nervous. It would have been very invasive for him to be so 'stared at' constantly when seen in public and not performing. As a shy personality but accessible performer, there is an opportunity for you to really 'give' without your immediate personal space being invaded. The physical barrier between you and the audience (stage and audience seating) is like your safety net, yet you give them all from the bottom of your heart and are totally exposed yet protected at the same time. It is very complex. Suffice to say, the nausea before performances can be crippling for some people. I do not believe Prince was manipulative or a sociopath. The beauty we see in his eyes is his vulnerability, the unusual, yet beguiling behaviour is the arresting, yet reserved and spiritually 'ascended' genius trying to get by in a world maybe not quite ready for him. Just my opinion based on personal experience and studying way too many of his videos

According to Tyka it was orange. Prince could even turn half his face white and half his hair green, as shown in the Partyman music video. I don't know how he did it but that's pretty awesome... I wish I could do that. i used to think you were pretty sharp... but its increasing obvious that you're an arrogant, mean spirited, cut and paste clown... anything/anyone that doesnt agree or conform with you or your sacred collection of princevault rhetoric, becomes a tsrget of your corny barbs...get over youself ...

. And what need is there for you to be incredibly rude like this? . What else was I supposed to answer to a thread about Prince having telepathic powers? Is the earth flat? . Even if there's such a thing as telepathy, and unlikely as it seems I have to say IDK, maybe there's such a thing. But even so, fans going online to hallucinate about their favorite artist conveniently having telepathic powers is utterly absurd. For all I know the OP was trolling and the joke's on you. . Absurd threads call for absurd replies, and I kindly obliged. I cracked a joke, which is quite friendly considering the shitstorm the OP was calling upon themselves. . So IDK why you're being rude like that, calling people names and all. Pull yourself together. And of course I'm sharp (and pretty, too)... I don’t see any difference between this thread and the “what if” thread. They are both just as reasonably fun and ridiculous “what if” scenarios.
