Superstition/ JW Connection?

Ok, I've already started a post:

http://www.prince.org/msg...&tid=45521

theorising that the next CD from Prince is titled "Superstition".

I base this on the NPGMC intro page.

I've watched this a couple of times, and have noticed a few things.

Lets start from the beginning.

The first words you see across the screen is:
"the earth is flat"
Notice the words are in small case, and the font colouring is in red
This phrase is repeated 3 times before we see:
"THE EARTH IS A UNIQUE SPHERE"
Notice this is in large case letters, and the font colour is white.

OK, let's stop right there before we move on, and have a look at this.

Prince has been discussing in recent songs things about history, and inaccuracies.

There was a time in history where people believed that the earth WAS flat, and if you sailed to the end of it, you'd fall off.

Then Columbus proved that indeed "THE EARTH IS A UNIQUE SPHERE"

After he proved that, people had a whole new mind set, and the world (if you pardon the pun) was never the same again.

How does this relate to Prince?

Well, I kinda connect the Jehovah's Witness thing to all of this.

How?

Replace -

The earth is flat
The earth is flat
The earth is flat
THE EARTH IS A UNIQUE SPHERE

With-

Jesus died on a cross
Jesus died on a cross
Jesus died on a cross
JESUS DIED ON STAROUS

See the connection?
All of Prince's life, he was told growing up "Jesus died on a cross", just like everyone thought and was told "the earth is flat".
And once he searched for "The Truth" (like Columbus did), he found that "JESUS DIED ON STAROUS", and it changed him, like it changed everyone else when it was proven "THE WORLD IS A UNIQUE SPHERE".

Let's continue.

Most of the following phrases appear in small case font and are either red, orange, yellow, crimson:

Break a mirror 7 years bad luck
Lawyers obey the law
The bible subjugates all women
A stitch in time saves nine
Black people love chicken
Men r dogs
All that glitters is not gold
Prince only writes about sex
Pretty girls cant cook
Alls fair in love and war
Blondes have more fun

Notice something here?

They all have a negative slant, a stereotype, not true, a superstition, etc, etc.

Like "the earth is flat" phrase, in small case and red, It seems all these are things that Prince is trying to dispel, like on Rainbow Children's "Muse" -
"All The Superstitions - What The ..."

Now Look at everything in White lettering
Some of the words that appear in white aren't always in bold, larger case type (like Genesis 2:18), but it seems that these phrases are things that Prince wants us to focus on.

Some of them don't give answers to the statements in red (like the earth is flat), and some of them aren't exactly positive either (like On prom night who cares?), but I think all the WHITE phrases are the ones that Prince wants you to FOCUS on.
I remember Prince saying in some interview about Larry's daughter, and about sex before marriage, etc, etc. I think that "On prom night who cares?" is a topic that Prince wants you to ponder on, like a food for thought.

Positive statements in white include:

Communicate
One can

etc, etc. Notice the standout in white on the dark space background.

The strange text that appear in white, includes:

You mean it doesn’t really taste good
Yeah and?
Media focuses on what keeps the worldview intact

Im assuming that these are lines that appear in upcoming songs? Don't know

I also don't know what all the years signify (anyone?).

However, what leads me to believe that "SUPERSTITION" is the next CD from Prince, is right at the very end where in white it says "Welcome to the NPG music club" , the phrase "SUPERSTITION" crosses through the "Welcome" message, intertwines, and the large roaring sound almost gives the whole thing a climax.

What is everyone's take on all of this?

Prince is conveying a cryptic message, that people seem to be less focused on, rather, conveying their excitement of the club itself. But I think it's something that can't be ignored.

I'm not saying what I wrote above is right, this is just my interpretation of it all, just willing 2 do the work

What about U?

What's the difference between a superstition and a belief?

Some people believe in cracking mirrors = 7 years bad luck, some people believe Jesus died on a stauros - what's the difference - neither is provable, it's all relative to the person who holds the belief.

Can u imagine, he'd do it justice, and imagine the horn lines with Maceo, Greg, Eric, Candy, NPG Hornz, whatever.

If it's not a cover, I hope that when he does another tour he incorporates the Stevie song into the set - A real crowd pleaser!
