COME THE BEST OF THE 90's COME is the best Prince album of the 90's.

I’ve been feeling this album a lot lately, I love it’s dark undertone and how unapologetically explicit he gets. . His 90’s stuff is so divisive for me. He moved so quickly and every album had such different intentions. I would say Love Symbol competes with this being his best from the 90’s. It just sounds fantastic. The NPG is in rare form the entire record. . But Come is great! Come -> Space -> Pheromone -> Loose! -> Papa is a conundrum of sensual, dark and sometimes disturbing imagery that only Prince could pull off. Plus add in the whole 1959-1993 Prince is Dead planted on the album cover...and yet it still manages to function in its dysfunction. Then he finishes the whole ordeal with Orgasm? Who the fuck else would do that? . My Mom bought me this from a garage sale when I was 15, and it was the first of his 90’s stuff I ever got into past Diamonds & Pearls. If the weather is gloomy, and I still want to feel some grooves, this is my go-to album.

Love Symbol #1...then, Come... i admit, it took years for me to appreciate Come... at first i only loved "Letitgo" and the last two minutes of the title song... now i can play it without skipping anything

End of thread. Well, if that's the end of the thread, there's no point in replying now, is there?

Not the best track to be stuck at the traffic lights with your window down

can't disagree. Even though the OP closed the thread I may as well say; I love Come (the album) but I'd put it behind Love Symbol and TGE (those 2 I can't seperate).

Not by a long shot, for me. I do like it faily well, but any album that makes Orgasm seem excrutiatingly bad gets demerits. I prefer Gold, Emancipation, Exodus, and Graffiti Bridge ( for it's classic songs - Come has none except for Dark).

I loved it then & love it now. Far better than Gold IMO. "So much has been written about me, & people don't know what's right & what's wrong. I'd rather let them stay confused." ~ Prince.

the 90’s saw prince release the corniest most cringeworthy music of his career. Come with all it’s flaws along with The Truth, was a breath of fresh air from that cornball 90’s music. It’s by far his best 90’s era music.
