I don't know if I'm reading the post about upcoming MVs wrong, but isn't it saying that they'll release a MV for Crystal Ball on the 16th? I'm still not at that stage of Prince-fandom where I know every bit of trivia like most of y'all, but Crystal Ball might just be my favorite song of all time. I looked it up in the Vault, and there's nothing about a MV. Is it just a mistake? I'm getting this info from the Estate website's news post.

Sorry to bother you on this, but could you let me know what I'm reading wrong about it? This is what I'm looking at, and it really does seem to say that there's a MV for Crystal Ball. The post here says otherwise, but surely someone on the estate website couldn't have made a mistake like this?

I see. I thought u were referring to the press release shared in this thread, that only mentions Interactive. IDK where u got that screenshot from, but it's a obviously a typo. I've just crossreferenced various sources and the official press release, as shown on Billboard, Variety or the Star Tribune, doesn't mention any such MV. When an information seems dubious, it's always best to crossreference the information and/or try to find the original source of the information. I got it from the official estate website's article on it. Pretty amazing that they made a typo like that in that source, but it's my fault for being so quick to get excited over something. Oh well-- guess I'll just have to wait longer for that song to get some recognition! Thanks for snapping me out of it.

Well, pretty amazing indeed... Add to that that they're announcing release dates for videos that are already on the YT channel (Bart has a theory that could make sense if the delete the old vids and re-upload them, but I still suspect they didn't even realize the vids were already out there)... . This list also mention a MV for 3121 which isn't listed in the other articles, and I'm not aware of any such thing existing anyway. Probably another typo. . Sadly, the people managing the Estate at the moment are behaving like complete amateurs. A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/

I completely missed the Elvis reference in the lyrics to Rock n Roll Is Alive all these years... until just now, having seen the video.
He sure did like to reference Elvis being dead in the mid-90s, didn't he? Kinda weird to watch that scene in the vid, now Prince himself is no longer with us. [Edited 11/18/18 12:18pm]

"With the success of his 2004 album Musicology bringing him back to the top of the Billboard charts, Prince was eager to keep the momentum going with his next album, 3121. Prince was primarily living in Los Angeles at the time — the numbers 3121 are a reference to the famous “3121 house” where he lived and threw star-studded parties in that era — and he tapped Salma Hayek to direct the video for the album’s first single, 'Te Amo Corazon'".

"Salma heard the song and came up with the original concept," Prince said in a statement when the video was released. "Salma is the most thoughtful, attentive director I have ever worked with. An absolute joy."

I still doubt that she REALLY was the director of the video. It looks more like the work of Sanaa Hamri, but then prince gave Salma credit because he adored her.

"The video stars Prince and the actress Mia Maestro, who was a close friend of Hayek’s and her co-star in the 2002 movie Frida. As Hayek would remember years later, it was really only because of Prince’s encouragement that she ever dreamed of directing a music video. “He was so, so supportive of me. He was always telling me that I should go back to directing, because I had done one little thing for television. And then one day, he said, ‘Okay, today’s the day. You have to do this song for me,’” she told W Magazine. “We had a great time; we didn’t really feel like we were working.”"

Yeah, that's the official narrative. I know, but I still doubt it.
