Just in his defense, I don't thnk he was detached; quite emotional but could best express that musically. more gurarded than detached.
Yes, guarded may be a better word. But extremely interpersonally guarded. To the point of, "I cannot tell you directly how I feel about you, so I'm going to write a song about my feelings. He did communicate through his music. |

I was thinking about this today. Both of his parent pursued music careers and barely paid the bills. Prince knew talent wasn’t enough to make it in the business, which motivated him to work his ass off. I hope he thanked his parents for that. No More Haters on the Internet. |

His dad had a good job at Honeywell and then played the clubs in the evenings. |
