The "clank-bounce" sound after that is allegedly Mayte's eyelash curler falling on the bathroom floor in the yellow house. Rumor has it Prince had a VHS tape rolling during her showering, and it just stayed on after. The eyelash curler was an odd choice after the dogs barking, but it really punctuates the end of the track. That is only on the remaster.

OMG I just got to the part where he and Gayle got caught making out in a green room at American Bandstand by Gayle's boyfriend (who was Owen Husney's brother) and Dick Clark. He had his little Prince out, and was wearing her bra. The look on Dick's face must have been priceless. It explains why he clammed up when it came time for the interview later.
