There was an argument that the existence of the labels were stopping free releases because FBG etc got the hump when they released the stolen music they had and Eye etc then stole it more and sold it for cash money. RIP

ATWIAD #1 in studio quality was leaked recently, which was a grail of mine. Would I like to see this happen more often? Certainly - I gotta lotta mo' grails to go... "I like to watch."

TheEnglishGent said: It's like when Prince complained that WB were stopping him doing more than one release per year, then got free and did one release per year. To be fair, the 'releases' were often multi disc though & he released multiple albums some years. From Emancipation til his death (god, I still hate writing that) he released, what 33 discs of material in 20 years? That's not including hits compilations or virtual bsides & Cybersingles. Evened out, it'd probably work out at 2 albums worth a year since 1996 [Edited 10/10/18 6:43am] blah blah blah

You spoiled brats... "Prince hasn't released a song for a whole week now, do you think he's never gonna release music again?" Back in the 2000's, there could be years between leaks. Years. A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/

I dunno, I've been collecting Prince bootlegs for over 30 years. First vinyl, then CD, then digital. EYE didn't start this and they sure won't finish it. They're not even the longest running bootleg label that caters to Prince releases only, that would be Sabotage, who I assume is still around. The markets not dead yet, and if it ever is, I have plenty to enjoy including many, many live shows that I still have never gotten around to listening to. Don't hate your neighbors. Hate the media that tells you to hate your neighbors.

The ATWIAD leak is amazing. Sounds like a whole different song. |

I think that I may have missed this. Is this the version that was circulating previously, but in better quality? If so, I LOVE that version… the chugging groove with the bass at the fore. I've been hoping for a better quality version for ages.

I think he sings that lyric in both the unreleased versions. This one (Around The World In A Day #1), has a very prominent bassline which the album version lacks, changing the the feel of the song quite considerably and making it into more of a "jam", whereas the other one sounds more like an extended version of the album track. Heavenly wine and roses seems to whisper to me when you smile...

All the most recent leaks except for ATWIAD (still from the same person however, but he leaked it himself through a 3rd party) were from one source and they had been in the hands of 4 or so people since July... There's still the unedited 1984 Palace rehearsal that has been decided to stay quiet (No real difference besides the tracklisting/order). Also, according to the original files for that rehearsal, Eye Records did change the track order... usually known as "Leaped7689"

SABOTAGE is a quality label but they don't have right now the xclusive stuff EyeR owns!

"Badges? We don't need no stinkin' badges!" is a widely quoted paraphrase of a line of dialogue from the 1948 film The Treasure of the Sierra Madre. That line was in turn derived from dialogue in the 1927 novel, The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, which was the basis for the film.Wikipedia "Climb in my fur."
