Prince used a Yamaha CP70 live throughout the 80s. I'm not sure if what you're saying is correct or not, but to me the piano on the studio recording sounds like a real piano. Especially the final chord (Ab major witha C in the bass).

I can assure you it's a D-50 piano. It sounded fucking tiny. Exactly like the studio version.
Lovesexy uses the Roland D-50 on almost all the tracks.

We owe a great deal of the sound of Lovesexy to Eric Persing,
which is a living legend in the synth world and created the synth's most famous presets.

"The Line" uses the one @0:19.
The outro of "Positivity" uses the same patch, with patch #21: DigitalNativeDance (@1:30).

The solo of "Glam Slam" is the patch you hear @3:10, with more attack and shorter decay on the record.
@3:39, one of the components of the main riff of "Lovesexy". The one @6:10 will also sound familiar.

...and here is the "Anna Stesia" piano, @6:30. Except on record it's without the chorus, and maybe he kept only one partial,
but the piano attack is typical, it's the D-50 cold crystalline sound, it's unmistakable. Trust me, I played one back in the day.
It's impossible to find a demo with the piano sound of "Anna Stesia", which was also a preset. Because it sounds so fake and much, much better digital piano sounds have appeared since. But it's Prince's genius to use such a dead, digital sound on "Anna Stesia" instead of, say, the warm upright piano of HCUDCMA?

At the PRN Alumni panel event, they asked all of the women what song they would pick to describe their relationship with Prince. Ingrid Chavez picked Anna Stesia. A lady in the audience asked her what it was like to have spiritual conversations with Prince and she told her to listen to Lovesexy and she would know.

.

I love this song. My favorite version is the live one from Milan, Italy with the epic 2 minute + guitar solo.

Agree and the ONA Tour versions are not far behind for me.
