Allen was at the PRN Alumni event today with books to sign. I'm only about 20 pages in right now and

***SPOILERS*** I won't post any spoiler pics, but lots of photos never seen before. First show at Sam's (First Avenue), hotel rooms, rehearsals, backstage, Dirty Mind, Controversy, and 1999 tour photos, variations of well known photos, and a lot more. Cool to find out that the infamous shower photo shoot and band bedroom photos were taken at Prince's Kiowa Trail home.

I got the book yesterday from Electric Fetus. There were three copies in the store.

The book is AWESOME and definitely worth every single penny. Pictures are absolutely incredible, and the text and stories included are great. This book is, in my opinion, a must have.

I gotta say though that there are a couple specific quotes in there that I'm rather sure will be a source of debate around here once more people have the book and it's being more intensely discussed.

Finally, I have a question for others who already have it: (I will preface my ? with the personal opinion that some of the photos aren't captioned very well in regards to crediting and/or identifying who is who in a particular photo). Ok, my question is, on page 62 there is a smaller photo on the bottom left-hand side, with the caption "Backstage, Dirty Mind tour" below it, and the pic is of Prince, Big Chick, and others standing in a hallway. There's a woman at the forefront of the photo in a red and white striped sweater -- I'm fairly sure that woman is a young Jill Jones? Yes or no? TIA for any replies

Maybe I'm way off base and they (the quotes) won't even be a thing. When I read them tho I was like, "Hm, well, that'll make for interesting discussion on the Org!". You'll love this book though, I guarantee. I wish I could blow up a few of those pics to huge poster size! Really thankful Allen B shared this stuff Now don't you stress, friend!

Hi - thanks for the reply! I was pretty sure that was Jill. As for the woman behind her, I thought most likely Kim Upsher? Looks like her to me and the timeframe would fit (I think).

I just looked at my Amazon order and it says: Arriving Nov 28, 2018 - Jan 12, 2019

Yeah, I was curious if there were any reviews up yet for this book so I looked at the Amazon listing and was surprised to see that it said it was released on Oct. 15 yet under that it says something like 'item shipped 1 to 3 months after purchase'. wtf?

B&N says they have a Nov 1 release date.
