90’s music from P.

I would love to see more music videos & hear more music from the 90’s.
He had a lot of great tunes in that era. I hardly have to skip a track.

Personal faves:

Diamonds & Pearls
Love Symbol
The Gold Experience - only skip 2 songs
The Greatest Romance Ever Sold
pheromone
Race

La sigh.....

You don't have to skip tracks. No one does.

Just don't do it.

Respect the music and let it grow on you.

His 90s music is a mixed bag for me. I don't like any of his rap songs and the Love Symbol album is one of my least favourite albums of his. It's a step above Hit'n'run Phase One but not by much. From the mid to late 90s, that's when I feel he started to improve. His music was no way near the level creativity he displayed in the 80's or his post Musicology stuff (well, most of it) but there's some great songs in there from Gold Experience to Rave...

Incense and Candles is from 2006 - not the 90s. rolleyes

I do both--if Im listening to an album, I listen to all of it. But sometimes I just wanna hear specific songs. Every Day Is A Winding Road (Yeah, I know the title's given as one word--I just can't do it that way) is not a song I ever remember having a "I need to hear that NOW" feeling about. It plays when I have Rave on, however.

Yeah of course sometimes I'm after a particular song too. But what I meant is that when I listen to a whole album, which is 99% of my listening time, I just play the damn thing either in order or shuffle and never skip a song.

"Shocked"? I do it myself as well with my Ipod. It allows me to hear some tunes that were not listened to since a while. When I'm running, it gives a kind of surprise set list.

WHen I do it, it's for one of those 2 reasons:

- I know I'm not gonna have time to listen to the whole record so I just leave it to fate to choose which songs will come first

- It's a record I know really well so it breaks the monotony a little, and also allows me to enjoy the ending tracks differently (there's sometimes a "syndrom of the end of the album" that can make you little bored with the last few tracks when a record is longer than 45 minutes)
