I'm only going by your claim. The article is also referring to things his sister said too, not just some random article that is talking about the nationwide epidemic and just happened to throw Prince's name in it which is what you stated from the beginning. This article from the get go is specifically talking about an industry problem and truth be told Prince is one of the biggest stars who have died from this, of course he's going to be mentioned somekind of way.
Look, you have your opinion and I have mine. We aren't going to change each other's minds.

There is something else I would l ike to address with Sharon. She is saying that he was in 'pain' when he reached for" that drug. "
He was in withdrawal. His symptoms were feeling "antsy" and nauseous. He was prescribed Hydroxizine (mild tranquilizer), Zofran (anti-nausea RX) and a one-time dose of Valium to be supervised by Kirk. These are withdrawal meds, not pain meds. He did not complain of pain to Dr. S.
As long as we "dance around" this issue because we cannot stomach the truth, other addicts will continue to feel stigmatized.
Prince hid his addiction because he knew we would freak out. He likely felt he had no way out.
His sister, Sharon is continuing the lie. She is in Spin Control. |

Yes they need to start being truthful. Also wonder how Sharon knew he was in pain, since they hadn't seen or talked to each other in years. I believe the first time she was ever at PP was for Prince's service. |

Yep! I think he knew they were counterfeit but thought of them like a fake Version of a designer handbag. That they were more. Or less generic versions of the name brand Basically the same but made somewhere in China. |

I work for a healthcare company and I see stories all the time about about opioid deaths and nearly all of them start with some sort of injury or chronic pain. There’s no stories of people popping Oxy, Percocet etc. for shits and giggles. Heck my nephew had his wisdom teeth pulled and the oral surgeon prescribed him 60 Percocet! That’s ridiculous. He had the good sense to only take one and throw the rest away. Not everyone does and it doesn’t take long at all to become dependent. Paisley Park is in your heart

I for one know how easy it is to get addicted to the meds. because of pain. BUT yes, there are people who do pop them just for shits and giggles...and because of those people, the ones in pain are being cut off the meds. |

It would be great.
When the Dr put my hubby on these meds he told me, keep them locked up in a safe, don't tell anybody that you have these drugs, and make sure the kids do not get ahold of them. He said they go for high $$ on the street. There is a market for them on the street, because they are highly abused. |

Yep, I've got great concern for those who need these drugs legitimately and have to jump through hoops now to be pain-free.

I just glanced thru her filing on 9/21. Maybe I am misreading the docs, but is Comerica just asking the court to be released from liaibility from 1/1/17 thru 1/1/18? Maybe I missed Comerica asking for full discharge from handling the estate.
The Heirs complain about attorney fees, but no offense to them, they are spending almost the same amount on their legal fees as the estate.
Perhaps the estate legal fees will decrease if the heirs stop filing so much. Even the judge has addressed the issue of their filings not containing specific issues.
I am so confused on how the heirs are processing things. |

The above is a longer article about tonight's episode on 20/20, it talks about the family's lawsuit, and the interview with Crystal.
Crystal said P became addicted after his hip replacement surgery in 2010.
This contradicts M2's statement to the police.

I work near the Appalachian epicenter of the opioid epidemic. Here, opioids are the drug of choice for partying, as well what you take when you are having a bad day. It has been the drug of choice for teens and young adults for years. It is what people do when they party together, take pain pills and mix other things like meth and alcohol!!! For the younger crowd. it is relatively rare to become addicted to pain pills due to having an injury or surgery, with the exception being athletes with multiple injuries. It is true that there are millions of people from older generations that got inadvertently hooked from being prescribed pain meds for actual pain. It is just not the case for many others once opioids get to be a major part of the culture. |

It sure is. The only sliver of good news is that it seems to have already peaked here, with a small reduction in teen use the past few years. It is a slow process. Unfortunately, I think nationwide it still is on the upswing. |

I thought Prince's more recent chef was a man?
I wonder if this was Crystal, his assistant from 2010?
(The one who said in the investigative reports that she did not
wish to encourage P's drug use and as a result quit)
