Prince shows announced at the last minute What did you think of Prince announcing shows/performances/tours at the last minute?

Last minute show announcements didn't give me time to scrape up enough money to be able to go to any of Prince's shows. I was either: A. Working and wasn't able to ask for time off early enough to be able to go. B. A poor college student. or C. On a fixed monthly income to where I didn't have all that much left over after paying regular monthly expenses. No matter your age, pursue your dreams so that you will LIVE. | |

What she said^^^^
1: I couldn't put off work with a sometimes 24/48 hour notice 
2: By the time I found out Prince was in town, ticket's were sold out. 3 Could I really afford to buy at least 2 tickets, drive at least an hour away. Find parking, gas..etc (Yes I've done it, but also passed on many occasions) It is what it is.. I got to see him 7 times 😇 [Edited 9/28/18 21:49pm]  I will take my place, In the great below | |

There was only one time when I was upset about it as I had already committed to going away for a few days with my parents and couldn't cancel on them a couple days before. My husband ended up going to the show with a friend. He still holds it over my head - LOL, otherwise, I was on the phone ordering tickets and was always successful. So glad I saw him March 25, 2016, although it was the last time.  | |

It was a nightmare. Missed so many of the 3rdEyeGirl London gigs because it was impossible to rearrange things. Just created work/family/money issues. And looking forward to a gig is fun in itself. So, yeah, bullshit. |
