Thanks , I like Maya who is the daughter of the late and great Minnie Riperton The classic Loving You (1974) is so sweet when she sings at the end "Maya Maya" because the song is about her daughter she was the Perfect

I think "iconic" is pushing it. The skit was basically an impression of his look, voice, whatever (and it's debatable how good that was). In any event, it was pastiche more than humor. Not trying to be unkind but Armisen and this skit always came across as second-rate to me; filler from fans who wanted him to take notice of them. It never worked.

Apparently they (PRINCESS*) were at the Revolution gig, standing right in front of me... but I'd grown accustomed to my girlfriend at the time hating anything and everything I looked at... and was wearing my "horse side blinders" that evening, hemming and hawwing and "Oww-oooo!"ing all night.
They later left and hit the stage. [Edited 9/17/18 11:35am] ♫"Trollin, Trolling! We could have fun just trollin'!"♫

Just a little side note trivia: Teena Marie is Maya's godmother, and Maya also recorded the song "Too Many Colors" with Teena on her "Lady T" album If it breaks when it bends, U better not put it in!
