We all know the true Prince song he wrote that Prince should have been on was "Change Clothes"!

So, I'll paste some of it...

Despite the two singles having major success, it seems as if Pharrell would still be curious in hearing how those two records, in particular, would've sounded if they were sung by the people they were initially meant for.

"Still to this day I feel like CeeLo would have done a much better job on ‘Happy’ than me," he said. "And imagine if Prince had sung ‘Frontin’? I mean, come on!

Sounds like a fundamental misunderstanding on how Prince worked if you think he's gonna sing your song.

But he ended up performing it himself sounding like Miss Piggy. I can't imagine P singing Frontin' or Change Clothes, but I can imagine Cee-Lo pre-blacklist scoring a hit with Happy.

A friend of mine heard "Frontin"and said Prince should have sung that. I disagreed and I'm glad Prince rejected it. Although I do admire Pharrell and he was a pleasure down to earth man to meet.

Prince ALWAYS stayed true to himself as an artist.

I don't see in the article where he offered it to Prince and Prince rejected it. It just said he had Prince in mind when he wrote the song.

Yeah, and Timberlakes first solo with songs from him/neptunes were offered to MJ (who rejected them).

Cee-lo has most definitely been blacklisted. His career has NEVER been the same since. It's sad because he is very gifted vocally and a great songwriter. But I'm glad he attended Prince's last performance and talked to him before he entered "The afterlife".
