Get On The Boat! Love this πββ€ Listened to the 3121 album this week. Great stuff, but, this song just seemed so full of life! There are other great tracks but, hey, what a way to end an album! Does anyone else have particular songs that hit the spot whenever you listen back to them? Guilty pleasures? Discuss πββ€

At the best Prince concert I ever went to (a 3121 aftershow the weekend after the Super Bowl), he played this with Sheila on timbales. It was INSANE. We donβt mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I love this whole album, and yes, there is some serious percussion going on in this song! There is a Prince song/album for every mood, isnβt there...

This song has grown on me since he passed away. At the time 3121 was released I thought the song was kinda cheesy, but now I find it fun to listen to.

There is a great snippet of him and Sheila E doing this on Youtube for the 2007 Alma awards. Check it out, it's great.

I got to see Sheila E. a couple weeks back and she played this jam. It was so tight. Actually, it was the same set P and Sheila played at the ALMA awards. She lost it during Purple Rain. Two years later and Prince's death still has a hold on her. Prince forever! klick
