That's funny - it's obviusly him and the revolution. People are weird.

Clearly it is Prince. This rehearsal has been bootlegged and circulated amongst fans for 3 decades now. Classic!

My bootleg rehearsals, the cd was called something like "Christmas In Uptown", from the 1990's. (IIRC)

(Later this recording was included in the Purple Rush-series from Sabotage.. so very long time ago..(again, IIRC))

still it's great stuff, the long version "Another Lonely Christmas" from the 12 inch, was included..

however I have the "Purple Rush" boxsets, vol 1 to 6 (iirc)

so nice... I wonder if Sab is still active.. it is so long since I have checked about this label..

That song is so ubiquitous here that it is surely being played live somewhere in this city right now. By any band of ANY genre, even if it's only a few licks during a bridge. Number 1 audience handkerchief participation song. Followed by these in no particular order.
