Thanks for this! adorable when Hayes realizes you were in the audience for the history making aftershow. Interesting to hear yet another person state from Prince's mouth that he 'saw it in his head, then had to get it out/execute it'..all on his own. I'm not trying to derail this, but hearing this from Hayes/Susan Rogers etc..I'm fairly certain Prince was a musical savant. Also given the quantity of output, its hard to argue the point. How wonderful for those such as Hyes who will retain these intimate memories, thanks again for sharing!

Maybe its just not that good of an album to put the money into. I hate to say this but when I looked up the song list of this album on Prince Vault, Hot Summer was one of the songs. That's probably Prince's worst song. I don't think we should get our hopes but too high..one highlight was 1000 lightyears from here--which was eventually released in connection with Black Muse. It would be cool to hear the whole song. It also says When She Comes is a more stripped down version with just piano. We also heard Some Page Different Book (not a bad song, but nothing earth shattering). I love Morris, but I think he might be exagerating the quality of this album due to his involvement.

I liked hearing about how well Hayes could relate to Prince and what tradeoffs he felt kept him popular in Prince's company--personality, feel for music, and timely suggestions. As far as his production skill, I've heard Mr. Hayes's production on King's album--sounds alright!

This is good stuff. At all the after shows / after parties in th elate 90's concerts, I actually met him and talked to him a few times.

Morris is in the know about the Stuff & others 2.....The Estate with WBR are not (Strange?) & release instead a third class rehearsal from a poor source.....how can the things works well in the world of Prince's Legacy....only in a BAD way 4 now & Future !

I LOVE Morris! He is so down to earth and was a pleasure to meet. I can understand why Prince kept him for so long...
