At first I read it as Elizabeth Berkley and got excited for the tacky TV movie possibilities. Still hope for tackiness, but a little less excited.

And that is probably why I will give this a miss.

First of all, reports are that while the character of Prince will "hover" over the entire movie, there will not be anyone playing Prince. No Prince appearance. But hopefully lots of Prince in the soundtrack.

Second, I hope they work in what Lisa Barber said when Prince died:

"He changed my life,” the 50-year-old daycare worker from Sheridan, Wyoming, tells PEOPLE exclusively. “He helped me to open up a little and feel more at ease about myself. He was kind to me and so natural and down-to-earth."

He isn't going to be cast at all. No Prince character is planned to be in this movie.

speaking of the Beatles,I remember a really good movie called ‘I Wanna Hold Your Hand’.It is about a group of girls trying to get into a Beatles performance during the height of Beatlemania.A very funny movie.One girl even dressed up like a maid and somehow gets inside their hotel room,lol. If done right and with some humor,this Prince-related film could be pretty good.

That's exactly what I was saying earlier in this thread! I Wanna Hold Your Hand was a well done movie and this could be, too.

I watched it as a double feature with The Room and it was quite a ride. IDK how it is to watch The Room if you haven't watched TDA first, but as a combo they work pretty well.

I thought 500 Days of Summer was terrible. I watched the first half hour and then bagged it.

I got 10 mins through The Disaster Artists, so you'll either love it or turn that one off after 2 mins

It's really about the girl, and there will be no Prince in the movie.

Do they have to approve it? Because they don't approve very much anymore.

Totally forgot about "I Want To Hold Your Hand". That's a great example..(Another fun movie even though it was panned by the critics)....Any of the P fans that were old enough to remember the MTV contest (and watched it the night it aired) will probably enjoy this "Cherry Moon" contest film.
