workin on it nod biggrin

I'm interested, Cal. biggrin

biggrin I'll post something when I get them done, but there won't be just one :O OH NOOO no no no! There are too many essential songs. I need one for:

fast/funky
slow/sexy
somber/dark
joyful/spiritual
workout (similar to fast/funky probably, great songs to exercise to)
absolute favorites

It's gonna take me a while lol wink
Perhaps you can mix your all-time favourites from each essential genre you've listed, to create one disc? biggrin

I hope your selection includes the version of 'Power Fantastic' that incorporates the "missing" jazzy intro, Anji!

Before you ask, no, I haven't worked on a personalised disc just yet (but would love it if you sent me a copy of yours!) wink

.
The jazzy intro doesn't work as well in the context of this album, G.

(By the way, no worries on either count but get working on your personalised disc. Yours will be very interesting indeed!)

It didn't take long to see this interesting thread disappear... on page 3!!! disbelief
Anyway, I felt dissatisfied with the original configuration of this compilation. Three songs seemed for various reasons out of place: Positivity (one of my all-time favorite) for its spiritual content; Anotherloverholenyohead as the only released single of the list; and OtherHereWithUs, too scary! boxed
Made room for LifeCanBeSoNice, What'sMyName, AnHonestMan (closing number for the first sequence) and Habibi as an interlude. Other songs were switched for better sequencing.

FROM DUSK... TILL DAWN 2.0

1.MyLittlePill
2.What'sMyName
3.1+1+1Is3
4.Emale

Really like it that way. No singles, no classic Prince songs I know by heart, but definitely fantastic material. I'll probably use these songs as an introduction for casual Prince listeners, as it covers his entire career. and displays an incredible variety of writing and arranging talent. dancing jig

Anji, I need your help here...

Do you just want a CD of my favorite Prince songs, or a succession of titles that make a good, singular statement? My favorites don't necessarily go together well.

Hey Lammas, how ya doin' bro? This thread was really about what your all-time favourites are, and if you could sequence them coherently onto one disc.

It's been a curious mixture of attempts so far. biggrin

Thanks for posting, Antuco! As for your collection, it certainly is very interesting in places. For example, Arrogance into Annie Christian is something I don't think I'll ever see anywhere else!

Nice work dude. biggrin
