Okay Plato, I'll play along. It seems that a strong opinion one way or the other says a lot about the individual. A weaker, indifferent one says more about the music. For example, I love the Parade album. When I discovered this album I just happened to be on my own artistic journey and the world of music and painting-- the world in general- was just opening up before my eyes and I had found a talent in painting what I was feeling. Is it his best album? Probably not but it's my favorite. On the other hand, there's the Diamonds and Pearls album. I'd just as soon listen to my Ralph Tresvant album before that. I don't hate it. It just doesn't do anything for me no matter what frame of mind I've been in while listening to it. That's how I would define a bad album.
Like you said people often bring their expectations with them when listening to music. I can't understand hating an album--it's just music. I always look to like an album and if I'm not in a good mood I wait until I'm in a better one. There's one exception to this, however: when your roommate is playing P.M. Dawn over and over and over again. falloff

Your question presumes a reliance on Prince as the sole source of happiness in our lives. To put it kindly, that's inaccurate.

I can hate his new music and love my life
I can love his new music and hate my life.

In any event, there's so much more music out there to fill the void!
The question doesn't presume a sole reliance between Prince and happiness, namepeace. It does suggest a correlation.

Yeah, your statement could be true to a certain extent but sometimes when things are going good in my life and I'm also looking forward to going back to PP than he says there isno celebration and also I have to wonder why he would become a member of JWs when I thought he was a genuis. Things like that. Sometimes he gets me down, when I'm not down!
How is being a genius related to not becoming a JW?
