That's actually a rather eerie photo.... especially given that's almost the exact way he looked when he passed.....

It wasn't funny. It was disturbing.

I can honestly say I never found the picture funny. But now I am wondering what was going on in his head given he knew what issues he was dealing with, how much of that was him poking at himself.

I'm not sure if this is what you yourself are implying, that's the problem with everybody trying to be so cryptic and vague, short sentences can be interpeted in so many different ways. But I never took that statement to mean "I'm planning on committing suicide soon so wait a few days", I don't even now. I've taken it to mean, however untrue it was, "don't get your panties in a bunch I'm fine".
