There's an ongoing case that has to do with that song. Some dudes back in the 90's claimed Prince copied their song and it hasn't been settled since.

Damn... I wonder if they'll ever put it back up someday if the Estate does anything about that court case. I get that they probably don't want to pay royalties from streams or whatever, but witholding it from people isn't going to do much to put them in people's favour at all, most likely.

in reality the case has been closed for quite a while ... I think 2013 or 2015 there was the last udieza in which he condemned P. in order to be able to do what you say, it would be enough to pay the court fees and pay the introyti and copyrights of the single (so says the sentence) and could revive the song, otherwise it can not be transmitted, sold, advertised and any other what in Italy. What then I do not understand ... and 'something that affects Italy what centers Canada?I'm Italian but I do not agree on this cause, I agree with P
