amen!!! that plastic never came off even when "company" came!!!

that is why half the time that vintage stuff is in such good condition, it was never really used!!!!

geez, how come that was never made known? no one cared? i never heard that, never even though the org mentioned his passing, i searched several times for the cause and never found it. Sad, especially because i believe Prince probably committed suicide. Paul probably knows them better than all of us and whey they'd end up like that but maybe not.

I made a mistake. That was Duane Jr. I didnt notice the Jr originally.

Duane Sr. died of a gastrointestinal bleed.

Duane Sr. was also cremated.

I agree. Death from gastro-intestinal bleeding is a primary cause of death in alcoholics. In the hospital biz, it's called "bleeding out". It is scary to be involved as it is usually hopeless no matter how many medical professionals are trying to save the person.

ya my sister died from aids but really, she kept coming close after she kept drinking shortly before that. Kinda makes me wonder if it can even be called aids or just wearing her body out with that alcohol. she could have lived longer.

what happened in my sis' case was, her liver was shot, they figured she was too young to have a liver in that condition so they ordered tests where they discovered hiv. during the time that she had AIDS she continued drinking, apparently, the hiv made it harder for her body to recover from the damage she was doing so it was a lot more compressed than it would be with a non-hiv alcoholic. The liver can no longer filter blood and it causes a lot of problems, it was a painful thing to watch. Why anyone who sees addiction up close would pick up the same habit i'll never know, i hate alcohol and drugs.

So sorry about your sister, Pete. Addiction to pills, alcohol etc. is something I don't understand either. It is the lack of moderation that I don't get. This full-bore, "damn-the-torpedos" thinking is foreign.J
