I mean he was always in heels thats got to cause damage?

I seem to remember on here about a fog machine issue that caused him, Larry and Chaka to slip and fall around 99 or 2000. He either broke or spained his ankle. Also, I believe he would occassionally mess up his ankles and feet when his heel would get caught in stuff. I also remember a story about P breaking his big toe causing it to fold forward under his foot.

I remember this incident specifically. Because he was scheduled to come to my city on October 6, 1998 the next night. Then it was cancelled the day of & I was devastated.

My bunions aren't half that size--on my 56-year-old feet--and I wonder all the time how hell he still wore heels. Granted, wearing heels all the time made him used to them, but even so, feet are not made to operate that way. It had to hurt!

It appears he was taking a break on the video shoot for "Te Amo Corazon", in which actress Mia Maestro portrayed his love interest and housekeeper. Those props were used in the production.

I have a number of friends/relatives who have large bunions. I wouldn’t attribute them to vanity. And as someone who is also very short I don’t think there’s anything vain about wanting to be taller. Being short sucks.

well, it's just the way it was. who wears hard assed highheels when you're a man. I hate even wearing dress shoes because they hurt, let alone some high assed heels. And lets not forget, he ignored all the pain that all the jumping off of speakers and piano's gave him, he didn't heed the warning signs for whatever reason. Ego/vanity is destructive, i've seen it in my favorite boxers who just can't quit on time and i've seen it with all of my heroes who's egos are never satiated even with the world at their feet. I try to learn from my heroes.

Lonely-really great idea. I think it bears exploring though I know what you mean re: hostile orgers.

I think his vanity, image obsession etc are central to him.
