Thank you Latin for posting this! Some of my favorite pictures of Prince are of him before fame hit. His eyes I find mesmerizing! I wonder if he knew how cute he was in these pictures?

Latin-

Do you know who's house he was living in these Whitman photos? You see lots of "Fru-fru" and a china cabinet, flowered tablecloth, like an old lady's house. (I am one, so I get to use that term.)

Seems like somewhere I read it was a someone promoting his career, after he was no longer living in a friends basement, but I never have known, do you?

Good morning children...take a look out your window, the world is falling...

.

Those photos were taken at his manager Owen Husney's home (get Owen's book!) There were three shooting locations: downtown Minneapolis around the Schmitt music wall, Whitman's studio in the "ice cream" place and Owen Husney's home.

I know I'm not Latin, but I'm chiming in because I have some info about those photos. That tablecloth? That was an English calico pattern and was very popular in the 1970s. The Victorian hippie look, popular with people of Edwardian dress (like a guy who dressed in purple with lace and flowers).
I always laugh at those photos because I had the exact same tablecloth in the early 1970s to match my Staffordshire Blue Calico dinnerware. That was pretty expensive stuff then and now.

Here:

Welcome to "the org", laytonian… come bathe with me.

Thanks, Laytonian. Just didn't know. I was just little in the 70's, and my folks didn't have much $. Keep all the history going for all of us.
