REVELATION - the last ballad.

and what a great one it is cool i can never listen to this just the once, i have to put it on repeat
for a little while and sink away into it's atmosphere for a bit.

it's SO freakin' good and smooth and beautiful. and that's after the hundreds and hundreds of
fantastic songs he already released. damn.

give this song some love cool

Desperately need to hear the longer studio version. Totally agree - an excellent song!

His last masterpiece as well.
Unbelievably good song. And yes; proof he still had it

yeah, i liked what they did with that longer 'live' version, the one where he played
more guitar after the studio pa version ended. good stuff! thumbs up!

He said in the pulled Ebony interview something about the keyboards sounding like U Got The Look, which is a cool little reference, but I wish I could unhear that sometimes!

It's gorgeous. But I can never listen to anything on repeat. Once I've heard a song, I want to hear the next one. Once I've heard an album, I want to hear another one. Once I've heard an artist, I want to hear another one.

I first listened to HnR2 not long after Prince died. When Revelation came on, I immediately was drawn to it the way I was drawn to his songs in the 80s. By the end, I literally was in tears that he had a song this good and different on his last album. I know what you mean when you want to listen to it again. It really is addicting.

One of my favourite Prince songs.

My wife and I chose it for the first dance at our wedding a little more than a week before Prince passed.

Pure genius.

i can spend days with a handful of songs and weeks with just 1 album.

it limits the amount of music i can listen to and the 'new' music i can
discover, but it's still very rewarding since it deepens my familiarity with
the music that i know i love.

I agree, this is a beautiful song.

I am curious about the the last lines of the song where Prince speaks....

"Through English glamour, casting a spell
Though Hebrew, Greek and Roman hell
higher 'til we understand, the colour of the Pharoah's hand"
